We feel that uniform is important as it helps to establish school identity, a smart appearance and helps parents overcome the problems of dressing choosy fashion-conscious children!

The uniform is basically green, gold and grey. Various combinations are possible.


Winter Uniform 

 Green ‘Lenham Primary School’ sweatshirt, or bottle green, plain jumpers or cardigans Yellow polo shirt (years R-5) 

White polo shirt, blouse or shirt (year 6 only)  

Grey trousers or skirt or pinafore dress 

White, black or grey socks or tights 

Black shoes – please only buy shoes with laces once your child can tie them. 

Wellington boots must be named and kept at school all year, for playing outside on the field when it’s wet, muddy or snowy.


Summer Uniform (optional can be wore Easter till October Half term) 

Grey shorts 

Green or Yellow checked summer dresses 

Sun Hat

Grey skirts and pinafores may be worn in winter or summer

Hairstyles and Hairbands 

No child will be permitted to have a haircut (e.g. tramlines) or coloured in such a way that may cause a distraction to other children. Children with long hair must have it tied back. 

 Children are permitted to have a simple ‘Alice’ band in black, brown or green. Simple hair clips for keeping hair back are allowed. No other hair decoration is permitted and the children will be asked to remove it should anything be worn to school.  

PE Kit:

Every child needs to have his/her kit in school every day. Children who do not have their kit are not able to participate.

Black shorts

House T-shirt. You will be advised what house your child will be in. Siblings are placed in the same house. Houses are named after sporting Britons who excelled at the Rio Olympics, and were chosen by the children:

 Daley – Green       Steadman – Yellow       Storey – Blue       Brown – Red

Plimsolls/trainers are necessary for games activities.
