As you probably know, Comic Relief is a foundation to help people in need; it’s celebrated in the UK, and supports all sorts of charities around the world. Lenham Primary is one of the many schools across Britain that helps fundraise for this delightful day!
On the 18th of March 2022 - Comic Relief day - children were invited to come to school in pyjamas. Of course, many children took this opportunity and so there was an array of colourful clothes around the building. Some pupils even brought in toys and dressing gowns! I think it’s agreed that we all had a terrific time!
Additionally, at the end of the day, parents and children could buy some cakes from our lovely year 6s! Children across the school bought (or baked!) cakes with their parents to bring in.
The money raised (from the cake sale and people in pyjamas) was donated to Comic Relief and at the end of the day, we had made £316.40! And that was just in Lenham Primary!
Thank you for supporting this day, and giving your generous donations to the fund. Every pound helps!
