Children starting in September 2017

Please contact the School to book your guided tour. This will be a chance for you and your child to receive a tour and to find out about everything that happens at Lenham Primary School. You will also have a chance to speak to the admissions team and senior members of staff.

Admission Process
To apply for a firm place at a Primary School for your child for September 2017, you will need to complete a special form called a Common Application Form (RCAF form for short). The application process starts on Monday 7th November 2016. We strongly recommend that you apply online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola.

If you apply online a paper RCAF must not be submitted and vice versa.

If you applied online you will receive an email from KCC Admissions on 18th April 2017 after 4pm to tell you which school you have been offered. Admissions cannot guarantee the exact time you will receive your email, this depends on your email service provider. You can also log in after 5pm on 18th April 2017 to view your offer online. If you applied by post, Admissions will send your offer by first class post on 18th April 2017.

You will then need to inform the school in writing as to whether you will accept the place or not. This needs to be done between (dates to be confirmed by KCC). At this point you will also need to come to school with proof of address as to the only or main residence of your child. This will need to be in the form of each of these documents:

  • A utility bill and
  • Bank or credit card statement and
  • A child tax or working tax credit letter (TC602), the child’s medical card or a letter from a medical centre, hospital or GP, a letter from child’s nursery or playgroup or a bank statement of a savings account in the child’s name.

These documents should not be more than three months old and preferably should show that the child was resident at the address at the time of the closing date.

We need to see ALL THREE of these documents for EVERY child being admitted (even those who have siblings at school already). If you are unable to provide the above documents, to prove your child’s only or main residence, the Local Authority has the right to take your child’s place away.
If you have any queries about the Admission process please ring or come into school. You can also contact the Kent Admissions Team on 03000 41 21 21 or visit their website
